Proceeds from this fundraising campaign will go towards further development of the Mohawk Village Memorial Park, located on the same grounds of the Mohawk Institute Residential School ‘Mush Hole”. The memorial park honours all the former students who were at the institution from 1831 to the closing in 1970. These students came from approximately 60 communities and 2 regions across Canada (these communities will be recognized on a future Memorial monument in the park). This park will be a physical and symbolic representation of what can be achieved moving forward.
