ST. CATHARINES, ON – July 31, 2024 – Musical duo DnA announces the release of their new EP “Reclamation,” a powerful tribute to the courage and resilience of Residential school survivors. The title track, inspired by the artists’ personal experiences with survivors, aims to shed light on their stories and honour their strength. The Reclamation video features survivors from The Mohawk Institute, filmed onsite, hearing the song for the first time.
DnA, comprised a husband wife duo—Juno-nominated musician Doug Boudreau and multidisciplinary artist April Mitchell-Boudreau—has created this EP as a fundraising initiative for Mohawk Village Memorial Park. $3 from every sale will be donated directly to support the park’s mission – “To develop and maintain the Mohawk Village Memorial Park to honour the children who attended the Mohawk Institute Indian Residential School, which operated from 1834 to 1970.” Mohawk Village Memorial Park
